Language

This blog is inspired by my students, some of whom cringe when they hear the word "grammar."

Whether you are speaking or writing, grammar is an integral component in clear communication. Without the proper use of grammar, the chance of being misunderstood is high and, depending on the mistake, can have unintended negative consequences.  "Cooking dogs" listed on the curriculum vitae above does not give a potential employer the best impression. However, "cooking, dogs" demonstrates that the applicant has more than one interest.

The grammatical concepts reviewed in this blog are related to learning English as a second language. Most of these posts are based on concepts I taught in my classes.

My mission is to make learning and reviewing grammar interesting, fun, and interactive; and I hope my students find this blog a helpful tool to review previously taught material.

So please post comments in the comments section if you have anything you want to add or discuss.
